Key Updates for NDIS Providers & Participants

Growing NDIS Participation, Over 19,000 new participants joined the Scheme this quarter, increasing the demand for registered NDIS providers.

Cost Control & Stability:

 Total expenses for the past six months reached $22.9 billion, which is $390 million below projections. These reforms are expected to save $19.3 billion by 2028, keeping the Scheme financially secure.

Improved NDIS Registration & Oversight:

The Scheme is taking stronger steps to ensure NDIS provider compliance and enhance NDIS audit processes. Over 15,000 participants have been assisted in transitioning to safer providers.

Faster Approvals & Plan Management:

An additional 800+ staff have been hired to reduce waiting times for plan changes and improve participant experiences.

Higher Community & Workforce Participation:

More participants are benefiting from increased NDIS support coordination, with:

  • 80% of long-term participants reporting greater choice and control over their services.
  • Workforce participation for young adults (15-24 years old) more than doubled, from 10% to 23%.
  • 43% of participants have increased social and community engagement, showing improved life outcomes.
New Reforms Strengthening the NDIS
